Job Opening: QA Engineer

At Driblab, we're building products that help the sports industry make better decisions through data. As our team grows, we’re looking for our first Quality Assurance (QA) hire — someone who will take the lead in shaping how we ensure the quality, reliability, and usability of our tools.

This is a functional-focused QA role suited for someone with a strong eye for detail, a solid understanding of how software should behave, and a passion for delivering high-quality user experiences. You’ll work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to verify features, spot inconsistencies, and proactively suggest improvements.

You won’t just be testing — you'll help build our quality culture from the groundup.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead all functional testing efforts across our product suite.
  • Understand product requirements and ensure they are fully reflected in test plans and test cases.
  • Perform manual exploratory, regression, integration, and acceptance testing.
  • Reproduce and clearly document bugs and inconsistencies across systems.
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to clarify requirements and catch issues early.
  • Develop and maintain structured, reusable test case documentation.
  • Contribute to the development of a consistent QA process as the team scales.
  • Suggest process improvements and help define quality standards for the company.
  • Track testing coverage and quality metrics.

Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of professional experience in a QA, product testing, or software validation role.
  • Strong background in manual testing of web applications and backend logic.
  • Very solid SQL knowledge.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a user-focused mindset.
  • Familiarity with tools for test case management and issue tracking (e.g., Jira).
  • Ability to understand business requirements and ensure product features meet expectations.
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Proactive, organized, and comfortable working independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the sports, media, or analytics industries.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development processes.
  • Deep knowledge of SQL or APIs (enough to validate data consistency is a plus).

  • Python
  • Java

  • PostgreSQL
  • Git
  • AWS
  • Vue (web frontend)
  • Jira, Notion, Miro

Job Benefits

  • Vacation: 25 labor days per year. Driblab follows Madrid city holidays.
  • Work with Apple products provided by Driblab.
  • Free drinks and snacks.
  • Be involved in new product ideas and company-wide innovation sessions.
  • Young, international, and collaborative environment.
  • Flexible working hours and hybrid model.
