Release Notes: First Quarter 2026

Welcome to the latest Driblab release notes.

Over the past months, we’ve focused on expanding accessibility, improving analysis tools, and enhancing workflows across the platform. This release introduces updates in team templates, language support, player and team analysis, scouting workflows, video features, and video capture. All updates are designed to make your work more efficient, consistent, and actionable.

Let’s dive into what’s new.

GENERAL DEVELOPMENTS

Platform experience & usability improvements

The platform has been enhanced with a redesigned Team Analysis section, improving usability, navigation, and overall visual consistency. Users can now show or hide filters in maps, keeping the focus on the visualization when needed, and all maps have been unified in style to ensure a more consistent and polished experience across PRO.

Data & knowledge improvements

New metrics related to dribbles, team possession, Long Throw-Ins (XY), and Pass Receipts (Arrigo) have been added, enabling deeper analysis of attacking patterns and ball progression. Additionally, a clear hierarchy of user types has been introduced in the Glossary to better explain roles, permissions, and responsibilities.

Content & resources

Product guides can now be downloaded as PDFs directly from PRO, making it easier to share knowledge and access documentation offline.

WHAT'S NEW ON DRIBLAB HUB?

Squad Builder improvements

Squads can now be configured as public, private, or supervised, offering more flexibility in collaboration and access control. Users can also add notes directly from Table Mode, making it easier to provide context, share observations, and turn squads into more actionable workspaces.

Favorites system & notifications

Users can now mark players, teams, and leagues as favorites using the new star icon in the top header for quicker access. In addition, users will receive notifications when favorited matches have physical or eventing data available, helping them stay up to date.

WHAT'S NEW ON DRIBLAB XY?

Team Analysis & maps enhancements

Team Crossings and Set Pieces have improved filtering: corner kicks are excluded by default, and only relevant actions are shown in Shot Strategy. The new Area Selector Modal improves how pitch zones are selected, and Crossings & Set Piece maps are now also available at player level, enabling more detailed analysis.

Team Stats improvements

Users can now apply a game filter to focus between a specific set of gameweeks and switch between full names and abbreviations for a more compact and flexible view.

Player analysis & scouting

Player Career History now includes a season score, making it easier to compare performance across seasons. Additionally, users can generate and download PDF reports directly from Player Scout, simplifying the sharing of scouting insights.

WHAT'S NEW ON DRIBLAB'S PHYSICAL DATA?

Reporting

Physical Data now has its own dedicated PDF report, allowing users to export and share performance insights in a clear and structured format. This feature is available for clients with Physical Data and the corresponding season active.

WHAT'S NEW ON DRIBLAB'S ARRIGO DATA?

A new Arrigo tab has been added to the main menu, bringing together advanced analytical maps in one dedicated section. Here the user can find the following maps:

  • Line Breaking Passes (Games / Teams / Players): Highlights passes that break opposition lines, helping identify actions that progress play and create advantages.
  • On Ball Pressure (Games / Teams / Players): Visualizes the pressure applied to the player in possession, supporting analysis of defensive intensity and decision-making contexts.
  • Ball Receipts in Space (Games / Teams / Players): Focuses on how and where players receive the ball in space, helping understand attacking positioning and progression.
  • Spatial Coverage (Offensive / Defensive): Shows how teams occupy space on the pitch in both attacking and defensive phases.
  • Phases of Game (Offensive / Defensive): Breaks down team behavior by game phases, allowing analysis of structure and positioning depending on context.
