San Diego Loyal Soccer Club and Driblab are pleased to announce a partnership agreement to integrate advanced statistics and big data into the talent search and performance analysis processes of the US club’s scouting department, which will have access to the extensive database developed by Driblab, as well as its consulting services, already enjoyed by a multitude of clubs around the world.
In this agreement, San Diego Loyal will have access to driblabPRO, the fully automated scouting platform developed by Driblab, in order to search, measure and analyze more than 200,000 players through more than 180 competitions. Utilizing driblabPRO will allow the Loyal to thoroughly analyze teams, players and matches, obtaining necessary information in order to make more objective decisions in transfer markets and official competitions.
Having the support of companies that store and refine data to complement analysis is an increasingly decisive factor in the growth and competitiveness of clubs. The expansive nature of soccer as an industry requires being as prepared as possible to anticipate competitors, and big data allows each scouting department to rely on data to save time and be able to focus with greater dedication on more specific day-to-day functions.
“In order to be viewed as a professional club and league, we need to invest in professional tools,” said Andrew Vassiliadis, San Diego Loyal SC Chairman. “Utilizing this robust database will allow us to consistently bring top talent to San Diego while setting our existing players up for success.”
Salvador Carmona, CEO of Driblab, said “gaining the confidence of San Diego Loyal SC is fantastic news in the progression and positioning of Driblab within the industry. The club has been in a state of constant growth since 2019 and it is an honor that they have decided to work with us in order to be even more competitive, in a very specific environment that highlights our work and adapt to all kinds of realities.”
