Published:01/02/2024

As we say goodbye to another dynamic quarter at Driblab, we’re excited to share the latest advancements that our tech department has been working on. Our journey through 2023 has been marked by innovative breakthroughs and an enduring commitment to improve the analytical capabilities that support clubs in their strategic sporting efforts. With each upgrade, we aim to redefine the boundaries of big data in sports, ensuring that our clients are always at the forefront of data-driven decision making. Here’s a glimpse into the features we’ve rolled out in the fourth quarter of 2023!

Data Tagging on Demand

This feature, rolled out in the fourth quarter of 2023, takes match analysis to a whole new level. Once a team uploads their match videos into our application, our system meticulously tags each significant event in the game. From goals and shots to intricate details like ball handling and defensive maneuvers, every action is captured and categorized. This feature is not just about storing match events; it’s about converting them into a wealth of advanced metrics, comprehensive visualizations, and practical functionalities.

Furthermore, the accessibility of this data is as versatile as its analysis. Once compiled, these advanced metrics can be made available through various channels: via API for seamless integration into existing systems, as CSV files for traditional data handling, or directly through our own DriblabPRO platform for an intuitive, user-friendly experience. We’ve also dedicated a new tab in our application specifically for video management. Here, teams can upload, view, and organize all their match videos in one convenient location.

“Tagging on Demand” enhances external cooperation by enabling users to share videos through externally accessible links via email, each programmed for up to five views to ensure controlled and secure sharing with stakeholders. This feature is particularly useful for sharing insights with scouts, external consultants, or even players who may not have direct access to the application.

With “Tagging on Demand,” users gain access to sophisticated data that serves as a crucial tool for monitoring talent and performance. This service allows for the creation of better-informed strategies and decision-making processes, all grounded in objective, data-driven insights. Whether it’s pinpointing areas for player improvement or identifying key strengths, our platform turns raw match footage into a treasure trove of actionable information.

Arabic translation

We’re excited to introduce Arabic as the latest addition to our multilingual interface. This expansion opens up new horizons for our clients, ensuring that our platform is accessible to an even broader international audience.

Our goal is to break language barriers and empower users worldwide to harness the full potential of our services. With Arabic as the tenth language in our repertoire (along with Spanish, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Turkish, Japanese, and Chinese), we’re one step closer to making our platform truly universal. Explore our tools, access data, and communicate with ease, all in the language that suits you best!

Field Tilt

Say hello to “Field Tilt,” the latest addition to our analytical arsenal. Field Tilt Percentage offers an invaluable comparative view of how the pitch terrain shifts during a match. Specifically, it quantifies and presents this data as a percentage for both the home team and the away team. You can now assess which team had the advantage in terms of pitch control, defensive strategies, and offensive maneuvers, all presented as a percentage to facilitate easy comparisons.

Youth Leagues in Player Scout

In our continuous aim of providing the most comprehensive and powerful player scouting tools, we have now incorporated “Youth Leagues” into our Player Scout tool, opening up new avenues for talent discovery and development. Now, scouts, coaches, and talent evaluators can access a wealth of information and insights about budding talents in youth leagues.

This expansion is a game-changer for talent identification and recruitment. Whether you’re looking for the next young superstar or tracking the development of promising prospects, our Player Scout tool with Youth Leagues has got you covered. Dive into detailed player profiles, performance metrics, and potential assessments to make informed decisions about talent acquisition.

At Driblab, we don’t just provide data, we empower our clients with insights that drive success. Looking ahead to 2024, we’re excited to continue this transformational journey, helping clubs, academies, federations and agencies around the world make data-driven decisions that shape the future of sport. Thank you for being part of this extraordinary journey, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds. Here’s to an exciting data-driven 2024!
