When we decided to carry out the Driblab Score, made with numerous metrics that we have been developing over the years and recently analyzed in our newsletter, we knew that many other derived utilities could emerge in the future. One of them, one of the most requested and valued by our customers, is the ‘Elevens‘ tool, with which we can know which players by position have performed or are performing best in a specific season and league.
At first glance anyone might think that the best players by position in top leagues are known to all, but the tool not only offers the possibility of selecting the best players by position from all the competitions we have, however remote or distant they may be, based on our own score, but also to add parameters and filters (age, minimum minutes, market value or GBE filter for UK), as well as to know the contractual status of each player that appears in the ‘Elevens‘.
In addition, once we have selected the filters that interest us, we will have several options by position, appearing four or five players. We will give a simple example with which we can immediately assess the potential of this tool. We will select the eleven best players by position of the Portuguese Bwin League of the 2019-2020 season, who are between 18 and 24 years old, who have played a minimum of 800 minutes.
In the list that appears we will check with the legend, which appears at the top right, the contractual situation of the player in case of considering his possible signing. From 1 to 8, we will know if there is an option to buy or repurchase the player, if he is on loan or if he has a release clause in case of relegation, among other assumptions. Next to his year of birth we will find his team and the month and year of the end of his contract. Along with these assumptions, our clients can also know the ‘Driblab Score‘ and the GBE filter score for the United Kingdom.
Looking at the image of that season, we find Luis Maximiano, today at Granada in the Spanish La Liga; Ruben Dias, today a Manchester City player; Edmond Tapsoba, signed by Bayer Leverkusen; Nuno Tavares, currently at English Arsenal; Toni Martinez and Uros Racic; making the leap to Porto and Valencia from Famalicao; or Francisco Trincao; a great talent who played for Barcelona and today plays for Wolverhampton in the Premier League. With this functionality what we allow is to make a first great filter to know the talent that stands out in any league that interests us as a club, being able to know, by age and minutes, which players are the best by position. Subsequently, all our filters and analysis will refine and contrast this first selection but with a single click we have an enormously valuable information.
In the same way, we can share the best eleven for media that may request by specific competitions, being able to certify with data and metrics how has been the performance of the players by position in a contrasted and reliable way. Up, for example, the best eleven of the 2020/21 season in the Eredivisie.
